About SiteReviewChecker
SiteReviewChecker is a free, independent service that helps people quickly judge whether a website is safe to trust. Enter any domain and we generate an automated trust report — a score from 0 to 100, a clear verdict, and a plain-English explanation of the signals behind it.
Why we built it
Online scams increasingly rely on convincing-looking websites. A padlock icon and a professional design are no longer proof of legitimacy — both are trivial to fake. We built SiteReviewChecker to surface the signals that are hard to fake, like a domain's registration history, and to present them in a way anyone can understand in seconds.
How it's different
- No paid reputation APIs. Every signal — RDAP registration data, DNS records, TLS certificates, page content — is gathered directly and independently verifiable.
- Age-weighted scoring. Domain age carries the most weight, because it is the strongest statistical predictor of fraud.
- Honest about uncertainty. Domains that don't resolve get no score, not a misleading one, and we always show both positive and negative signals.
Editorial policy
Reports are generated by an automated pipeline whose rules are public on our methodology page, and the same rules apply to every domain — we accept no payment to alter a score, run no advertising from reviewed sites, and have no affiliate relationships with them. Our educational guides cite primary sources (IETF standards, FTC and FBI IC3 fraud data, peer-reviewed research), show their publication and update dates, and are corrected promptly when a reader reports an error to [email protected].
Important disclaimer
SiteReviewChecker provides automated analysis for educational and informational purposes only. It is not a professional security audit, legal advice, or a definitive judgment about any business or individual. Always combine our report with your own judgment, and never enter sensitive information on a site you don't trust. See our methodology for full details on how scores are calculated.
